Description

Folio 157: Duke of Newcastle to Thomas Burnett. Owing to his irreconcilable differences with Dormer, the King is replacing him as Consul at Lisbon by Compton, as in the accompanying official letter (f.155). But the King will provide another suitable post for him soon, and Newcastle will do all he can for him in this regard.
