Folio 22: Diogo de Mendonça Corte-Real to James Dormer. Is informed that some absconding debtors to the Royal tobacco monopoly have taken refuge in a British warship or packet-boat bound for England. Since they have no Portuguese passport, he requests they be put on shore, as agreed in previous royal orders to captains of packet boats and warships.
