Every effort being made for the Court to appear in great splendour, `which shows they expect to enjoy the most perfect tranquility,' Sally corsairs interference with British merchant shipping. Spanish reactions to the dispatch of Sir John Jennings' fleet. Dutch may be about to make peace with the Algerines.
