Folio 155: James Dormer to Duke of Newcastle. Encloses a duplicate (f.157) of the private letter sent on 2 July (f.145). Is now informed that Infante Dom Francisco requests that his London Agent, Supico de Morães, be received by Lord Townshend. King's exile of so many of the nobility indicates that the double royal marriages are secure. It also reflects his oft-declared saying about the nobility that his grandfather loved them, his father feared them, but he neither loved nor feared them.
