Reactions to disgrace of Ripperda, and the new Spanish ministry. Dutch aggression against the Corisco Co. very damaging but will teach Portugal not to offend the Maritime Powers. Forts on the Tagus have now been repaired and strengthened. Count de Unhão allowed to leave the Algarve and return to Court. The newly-discovered mines in Brazil (f.131) are at Cuiaba. News received that Duc d'Orléans has been dismissed by King Louis XV.
