Folio 105: James Dormer to Duke of Newcastle. No additional news available on the Pretender's movements. Encloses the projected scheme for the reorganization of the Corisco Co. (f.107), `which is proposed to go under the name of St. Joseph.' If anything concrete orprejudicial to British interests comes of it, he will be able `to lay obstacles in the progress of it,' as it will not be viable without the participation of British merchants and their capital. Meanwhile it may divert the King of Portugal from `entering into any new schemes of trade' with Spain and Austria.
