Folio 91: Diogo de Mendonça Corte-Real to James Dormer. Statement of the Portuguese case over the Cabinda incident. Claims that the English were the aggressors, that the Portuguese from the warship Atalaia, only landed after the fort had been taken and sacked by the Negroes and that they saved the English from further ill-treatment. The Atalia did bring back 24 guns from the dismantled fort, which will be restored to the Royal African Co.'s representative on request.
