Folio 71: James Dormer to Duke of Newcastle. Mendonça Corte-Real has not yet given a reply to his memorial of Mar. 7 (f.45), but has given satisfaction on two very minor points relating to Madeira and Oporto. Portuguese Court's projects for reorganizing and strengthening the Corisco Co. to which only one English merchant has subscribed on the original basis. Dutch squadron against the Algerines reinforced and their cruise extended.
