Folio 35: James Dormer to Duke of Newcastle. Absconding Portuguese debtor who has fled to Brazil with goods belonging to British merchants. His memorials to Secretary of State (f.38) for permission to send an express advice-boat to Brazil with orders to seize thisman and goods, and Secretary's temporising replies. As Court is not being very cooperative over this affair, he will postpone lodging the protest on behalf of the Royal African Co.
