Description

Folio 262: William Cayley to Viscount Townshend. Breach of diplomatic privilege which he has resented and taken private satisfaction for. Does not think Portuguese will complain in London. French Consul has celebrated Louis XV's marriage and presented a letter fromhim to King and Queen of Portugal. Richly laden fleet from Rio. Dutch have no success against Algerines.
