Folio 258: Thomas Burnett to Duke of Newcastle. Dutch squadron has so far taken only one prize from the Algerines, a Hamburg-owned ship retaken with 50 Moors on board. News of military moves in Spain. Gives the prevailing views as to why the projected Hispano-Portuguese royal marriages, though long agreed by both sides, are held up by difficulties and disputes over other matters arising out of the Treaty of Utrecht. Portuguese naval movements.
