Folio 228: William Cayley to the Lord Viscount Townshend. Will keep him informed, as ordered by the Duke of Newcastle. Dutch protest over Dansaint's seizure of two ships in West Africa and evasive Portuguese reply. Robbery of the Portuguese courier (f.226) may havebeen with official Spanish connivance or instigation. Projected royal marriages not talked of now so confidently.
