Folio 190: Thomas Burnett to Duke of Newcastle. British merchant-ship chased by pirate, which H.M.S. Ludlow Castle was trying to catch but failed to achieve. Arrival of richly laden fleet from Rio de Janeiro with specie valued at near £2,000,000 sterling. Outward-bound Bahia Fleet with ships for Pernambuco, Angola and Rio de Janeiro left on 16th. Thomas Saunderson leaves for England today in H.M.S. Ludlow Castle.
