Description

Folio 109: Thomas Burnett to Duke of Newcastle. Rich prize of an Ostend East-Indiaman taken by the Algerians. Dutch and British naval movements. Arrival of a British slaver from West Africa who reports that Corisco island is a most unsuitable place for a settlementand that Dutch will probably try to prevent the Portuguese from establishing themselves there. Advice-boat from Rio de Janeiro brings no fresh news.
