Folio 207: Thomas Burnett to Lord Carteret. News from Spain of Russian Envoy, Jacobites, and army in Andalusia. Dutch squadron against the Algerines. Redman, principal Irish Roman Catholic merchant at Lisbon reported to be buying the San Isidoro (f.71), though she is in a very bad condition. Alarmist reports received from Brazil; but these are erroneous, and relate to the recent discovery of gold mines at Cuiab by ex-deportees who now seek a royal pardon.
