Folio 37: Henry Worsley to Lord Townshend. Congratulations on his appointment. Lifting of quarantine restrictions on British warships. Encloses copies of correspondence concerning Spanish infractions of Utrecht treaty over the Portuguese colony of Sacramento (ff.42-49). Portuguese request British support for their own position by bringing diplomatic pressure on Spain. Spanish military preparations. Damage done to Spanish economy by recoinage of Spanish American silver imports `into a base specie of 12% alloy more than usual and 24% short in weight'.
