Folio 137: Henry Worsley to James Craggs. Arrival and departure of Lord Portmore. Spanish military and naval preparations. Speculation and excitement over the projected Brazil Company which Worsley thinks is totally unjustified and harmful to the would-be British investors. Encloses Portuguese protest on R.N. captains giving sanctuary to Portuguese delinquents and fugitives from justice and the Inquisition. His rebuttal, and counter-claims that Portuguese refuse to give up British sailors turned Roman Catholics and kidnapped Protestant children. Arrival of richly laden Rio Fleet.
