Folio 99: Acknowledges receipt of letters and instructions. Will continue to press for British naval stores being allowed in duty-free, but is not optimistic of success. Spaniards busy mobilising sea and land forces, but with what objective is uncertain. Luso-Spanish diplomatic assurances of mutually peaceful intentions.
