Description

Folio 47: Henry Worsley to James Craggs. Hopes Portuguese may drop their pretensions over demanding Customs duties from British naval stores. Argument over whether six or twelve is limit to number of British warships in Tagus any one time. Departure of the Rio Fleet and a ship for Macao with the Apostolic Papal Visitor, A. Mezzabarba. New law made concerning the confiscation of contraband gold from Brazil.
