Folio 23: Thomas Burnett to James Craggs. Arrival of the Brazil Fleet with loss of three of them off the bar. King of Portugal gone to Salvaterra to hunt. Portuguese nobility regard themselves as greatly neglected by the King and Secretary of State, who wish them to retire to their country estates instead of living `splendidly at Lisbon'. This may be bad for British trade. Petitions to King George I of the Oporto Factory (f.13) and the Lisbon Factory (f.19). Naval and shipping news.
