Folio 224: Henry Worsley to James Craggs. Asks for clarification on any treaty right to naval and military stores being Customs-free, which Portuguese deny. Portuguese still stalling over the Quadruple Alliance, and he thinks they will continue to do so till peace is made, especially as Spaniards have promised to pay indemnity (f.217). Probably Dom Luis da Cunha and not Count Tarouca will be next Minister to England.
Date and place: 1719 Dec 23 Lisbon.
