Folio 211: Henry Worsley to James Craggs. Is very surprised to hear from him that `the Orders for the Abbot de Mornay had been forgot in the Secretary's office at Paris' (ff.155, 207). Suspicious activities of Col. Marti and other Spanish officers. Need for frigates to protect British seaborne trade off the Portuguese coast against Spanish privateers, most of whose captains and sailors are French. Lord Cobham has left Vigo for England, and ex-Duke of Ormonde's expedition may be still at Santander. No reply yet received concerning Count Tarouca's suggested transfer to London (ff. 179, 210).
Date and place: 1719 Nov 14, NS Lisbon.
