Encloses a copy of Diogo de Mendonça Corte-Real's letter (f.197), showing that King of Portugal insists on payment of duty by all naval stores which come in merchant-ships. Problems arising from same. Lord Hinchinbrook's interview with King of Portugal (ff.187, 195). Reports on doings of ex-Duke of Ormond and Spanish naval activities.
