Folio 123: David Jackson to [James Craggs]. Consul Parker complains of his hard usage by the Spaniards which he asks Oporto Factory to relieve. News of Jacobite and Spanish activities. Is surprised to hear that Poyntz is being replaced by Burnett as Consul-General at Lisbon. Asks that he himself might be promoted to Consul-General for Northern Portugal. Will continue to send intelligence reports on Spanish and Jacobite activities.
Date and place: 1719 June 26 Oporto.
