Encloses copies of correspondence with Secretary of State concerning Portuguese claim that English at Oporto were exceeding their treaty rights in public Protestant worship (ff.105-111). New threat to British commercial privileges by establishment of twelve official brokers. Spanish-English relations and rupture. Destitute British seamen in the Algarve. News of British captives in Morocco (f.113).
