Folio 33: Henry Worsley to James Craggs. Encloses copy of Portuguese Secretary of State's letter authorising release of brigantine St. Joseph at Bahia as a special royal favour (f.35). Seizure of contraband gold in the London-bound Cooper Galley, and return of theunopened (and compromising) correspondence found therein as per another enclosed letter from Secretary of State (f.37). News of great Spanish naval expedition, and various conflicting rumours of its real destination. Luso-Spanish postal service dispute settled. Naval news.
