Folio 169: Major-General Thomas Pearce to Lord Dartmouth. His good relationship with the Portuguese commander-in-chief Dom Pedro Mascarenhas. Quarters for the English troops. Details of siege of Campo Maior. His efforts to keep on good terms with the Portuguese, onwhom he is entirely dependent for provisions. Asks that his officers may receive their full pay and maintenance allowances.
