Folio 157: Lord Dartmouth to Lord Portman. Has read letter (f.155) to the Queen, and she said he cannot categorically promise reinforcements for Portugal, but he must still try to obtain command of all troops paid by British subsidies. When he has seen the actual situation and reported back, something else may be done. The petition of Col. Moncal has been referred to Mr. Walpole.
