Folio 100: Portuguese Secretary of State to Lord Galway. Report received from Paris that French fitting out a squadron of 15 sail under Duguay - Trouin to intercept the Brazil Fleet. Asks that Queen Anne should order the Channel Squadrons to blockade French ports and prevent the sailing, given the vital importance of the Brazil trade to both Portugal and England.
Date and place: 1710 [July 18] Lisbon.
