Folio 200: John Methuen to Sir Charles Hedges. Refers him to Lord Galway's dispatches for details of the allied occupation of Madrid. Wanton pillage and damage done by French when they evacuated Madrid. Grandees and towns who have declared for Charles III or reported to have done so. Has been very ill and confined to his bed for six days. Need for speedy decisions on the future of the war to be taken in England.
