Folio 160: John Methuen to Sir Charles Hedges. Lord Galway thinks the Portuguese do not intend to advance beyond Salamanca. Portuguese procrastination and reluctance. Stormy interview with the King. Will continue to put all the pressure he can on them to go to Madrid, including threat to withdraw English troops.
