Description

Folio 155: Earl of Galway to John Methuen. Well received at Salamanca, which has plenty of provisions, and is cheap. Still doubtful of real attitude of the Marquis das Minas, `who will retard our march all he can'. Asks him to send news of direction of Marshall Tessé's retreat from Barcelona.

Date and place: 1706 June 7 `Camp of Salamanca'.
