Folio 141: Dom Luis da Cunha to [Sir Charles Hedges ?]. Justifies King of Portugal's decision to order the Marquis das Minas to take Ciudad Rodrigo, and affirms King's firm resolve that the army shall then march on Madrid. Denies that Portuguese were to blame for the delay in Sir John Leake's sailing on 8 March and hence his failure to intercept the galleons off Cadiz.
