Folio 135: Consul John Milner to Sir Charles Hedges. Sends copy of f.133. Portuguese army is mistreating Spaniards who have declared for Charles III and the Allies. Dishonesty of Marquis das Minas. Fall of Fort Montjuich and siege of Barcelona. Arrival of the Bahiaand Pernambuco fleets after beating off some French privateers. Rio Fleet expected soon. Urgent need for cruisers to protect coast. Asks for his correspondence to be sent officially otherwise he must pay five or six pieces of eight for each packet.
