Folio 285: John Methuen to Sir Charles Hedges. Recapitulation of his efforts to inject more life into the sluggish Portuguese war effort for the autumn campaign. Is pressing hard for a Portuguese siege of Badajóz or at least an invasion of Andalusia, but is far from optimistic, although King's health is rather better.
