Folio 182: John Methuen to Sir John Leake. Sends him copy of Leake's letter, and of Captain Bennett, R.E. (ff.188-89). 2,000 men going immediately to Gibraltar and 500 Portuguese available in the Algarve if Leake will send ships for them. More will follow when the Irish convoy arrives, and meanwhile he sends provisions, and will spare no efforts to help defend Gibraltar.
