Description

Folio 180: John Methuen to Sir John Leake. 2,000 Anglo-Dutch troops sailing as reinforcements for the garrison at Gibraltar and more will follow when the expected convoy from Ireland arrives. 500 Portuguese troops available in the Algarve if Leake will send shipping for them, where supplies of provisions are also available at Faro.

Date and place: 1704 Nov 16/27 Lisbon.
