Folio 75: John Methuen to [Earl of Nottingham]. Asking for compensation for the sugar and tobacco belonging to two Portuguese merchants, Manuel and Antonio Vaz Coimbra, looted by the allied forces at Puerto de Santa Maria during the abortive expedition to Cadiz. He is being pressed hard on this claim by the King and government and can vouch that it is entirely true.
