Folio 144: John Methuen to Sir John Trenchard. Further details of French naval movements. King Pedro still very reluctant to join the Grand Alliance, owing to `his irresolution and apprehension of the French', Upgrading of Portuguese envoys in London and the Hague,and an Ambassador reportedly going to Madrid. Renews his request that the Admiralty should send him advice-yacht.
