Folio 132: John Methuen to Sir John Trenchard. Portuguese still nervous of French Fleet coming to the Algarve and are heavily reinforcing their garrisons there. Virtually no rain since last November threatens famine conditions `by reason no care hath been taken.' Has received and delivered King William's letter to King Pedro and has sent an account of his interview to `my lord Sydney'.
