Folio 82: John Methuen to [Earl of Nottingham]. Encloses a list of naval goods and material (f.84). Also sends an urgent dispatch from the Crown to the Viceroy of Goa, which the East India Co. is asked to forward. Details of contraband lead from London. His cooperation with Dutch Resident and Spanish Envoy, by which means he hopes `to find less delay and irresolution than is usual here.'.
Date and place: 1693 Oct 7/17 Lisbon.
