Folio 183: "His Majesty's answer to the Portugal officers Petition". Charles II has instructed his ambassador at Lisbon to press for their proper treatment and to pay them such a sum out of the Queen's Portion as would make their three months' pay up to that of theEnglish establishment. Earl of Inchinquin having resigned, Charles II appoints Count Schomberg as their commander, who will take all possible care of them.
