Folio 76: Consul Maynard to [Sir Leoline Jenkins]. Acknowledges receipt of order to stop ships bringing English colonial goods to Portugal, the Azores, etc., without paying customs in Great Britain, which he will try to enforce. English treaty privileges ignored by Portuguese ministers, who treat the Genoese, Hamburgers, etc. much better. Asks that the Factory at Oporto be compelled to pay him their share of his salary which they decline to do.
