Folio 67: Charles Fanshaw to [Sir Leoline Jenkins]. More details and discussion of the arrest and imprisonment of the merchants and the real motives for it. The only remedy is `his Majesty's sharp resentment, to make them as quiet as lambs.' The ex-murderer Hutchinson is one of the principal informers and Gaspar de Abreu, ex-envoy in England, `one of the principal instigators and promoters of all this against us, and is the same upon all occasions'. Prince and Court are out of town for six weeks.
