Folio 150: Consul Maynard to [Sir Leoline Jenkins]. Arrival of the Marquis d'Arronches and his friendly attitude. Treaty negotiations still stalled, despite Fanshaw's efforts. Queen's Portion and the recent revaluation of the Portuguese currency. Thinks Clerk should be compelled to refund the money given to Mr Parry from the Poor Fund. Sends him two hogsheads of wine and an Oporto ham as a present.
Date and place: 1681 Dec 20/30 Lisbon.
