Folio 141: Charles Fanshaw to Sir Leoline Jenkins. Difficulties over negotiating a new commercial treaty and the payment of the balance of the Queen's Portion. Asks for permission to come to England when he has received the final Portuguese answers and objections so as to save much correspondence and to get the King's final resolutions. Algerian corsairs. Three Brandenburg warships have brought in an English ship laden with fish which they retook from Barbary rovers but retain as a prize.
