Folio 137: Charles Fanshaw to Sir Leoline Jenkins. Death of the Marquis of Fronteira. Prince-Regent has promised to expedite negotiations for a new commercial treaty, but Fanshaw doubts his sincerity, knowing the Portuguese are utterly averse to it. News of the Pope's decision in favour of the Inquisition (f.133) received with great popular and official rejoicing. French and Spanish ambassadors have composed their differences and are now on good terms. Arrival of the Brazil Fleet and two East-Indiamen.
