Folio 157: Francis Parry to Secretary Coventry. Hopes to return soon on a frigate from Cadiz and will bring with him all the papers needed for renegotiating a commercial treaty with Portugal. Consul Maynard has now promised to have nothing more to do with English `flags of convenience', but the Vice Consul `makes no difference between such vessels and true English'. Hopes to deliver soon the letters of Charles II and Queen Catherine, asking for the release of Mr. Albinces Willoughby. Portuguese shipping for Goa, Angola, and Brazil as on f.156. Arrival of Montenegro, Portuguese knight of Malta, and his business.
