Folio 139: Francis Parry to Secretary Coventry. Merchants are grateful to Coventry for his willingness to promote a new commercial treaty with Portugal. Count of Castelmelhor obeying Prince-Regent's order to leave Paris and return to Madrid. Death of Dona Maria de Guzman, first cousin to Queen Catherine, in the Flemish Nunnery at Lisbon. Murder of William Colston by Allen Hutchinson. Has had latter arrested and imprisoned, but doubts he will be tried and sentenced unless Charles II writes Prince-Regent about it. Sent 28, 387 cruzados on account of the Queen's Portion by the Guernsey frigate, which also carried the returning French envoy as a passenger. Will take up the complaint about the mistreatment of the Hunter frigate at Madeira. Government's dissatisfaction over the form of the Papal Bulls for the Archbishop of Lisbon.
