Folio 97: Sir Robert Southwell to Joseph Williamson. Has been pressing for payment of the soldiers arrears and is now getting some of it. Portuguese envoys for Madrid and Rome. Depredations of Barbary corsairs. Louis XIV's claim to diplomatic precedence over the Spanish Crown has been published in a Portuguese pamphlet which he will forward when he can get one. Schomberg's eldest son going to England to try to get military employment there.
